Dave Luber, Artist

Dave Luber is a self-taught figurative painter and sculptor from Arizona. His paintings are a collection of unplanned movements guided by unchecked emotion set free. He layers and removes; scribbles, scratches and plays; gives, takes, and happily mistakes; awaiting that magical moment when he somehow remembers the figure the first time he sees it.

Dave sculpts to play with and smell the clay. Like our bodies, the form emerges and evolves and cracks and rusts and beautifully breaks and scars in astonishing, non-repeatable ways.
